WYRD Press (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

What we collect

Contact form

When you use the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message. This information is sent to our email inbox so we can reply to you. We don’t store contact form submissions in a separate database, and we don’t use them for anything other than responding to your enquiry.

Mailing list

If you sign up to our mailing list, we collect and store your email address so we can send you updates about new titles, submission windows, and events. We use this list only for WYRD Press communications and never sell or share it with third parties. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time by emailing hello@wyrdpress.com.

Purchases

When book sales go live on this site, purchasing a book will require your name, email, shipping address, and payment details. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe); we don’t see or store your full card details ourselves. Order information is used only to fulfil and communicate about your purchase.

Automatically collected information

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information when you visit — things like your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed — for security and performance purposes.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies to make things work: caching cookies for site performance, and (once shop features are active) a cart cookie to remember what’s in your basket. These are functional cookies, not advertising or tracking cookies.

Third-party services

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts to display our typography correctly. Loading these fonts means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers, which may receive your IP address as part of that request. You can read Google’s privacy policy for more detail on how they handle this.

We also use WordPress and associated plugins to run this site, hosted by Hostinger. These providers may process technical data as part of delivering the site to you.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. To do so, email hello@wyrdpress.com and we’ll respond as soon as we can.

We may update this policy as the site and our services evolve. We’ll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
